This list is organized by project type so residents can understand what is being proposed, where investments are planned, and how each project fits into the larger public safety bond program.
Public Safety Building
The Public Safety Building would bring police headquarters, fire-rescue leadership, emergency operations, real-time operations, and 911 coordination into one unified facility designed to support daily operations and major emergencies.
New Fire Rescue Stations
Allapattah Fire Rescue Station
A new fire station in West Allapattah would help address coverage gaps in a growing area and relieve pressure on one of Miami’s busiest EMS service areas.
Liberty City Square Fire Rescue Station
A new Liberty City Square fire station would provide a permanent home for Rescue 17, which currently operates from Fire Station 12 outside its primary response area.
East Shenandoah Fire Rescue Station
A new East Shenandoah fire station would improve coverage in the Five Points area, where existing service needs have outpaced nearby fire-rescue infrastructure.
Watson Island Fire Station
A new Watson Island fire station would support both land-based and marine emergency response, including fireboat operations.
Fire Rescue Station Replacements
Fire Rescue Station 1 — Downtown
Fire Station 1 is a critical downtown response hub that supports frontline operations and specialized citywide functions. The proposed replacement would provide a modern 40,000-square-foot, 8-bay facility.
Fire Rescue Station 10 — Magic City
Fire Station 10 is one of Miami’s oldest fire stations and is undersized for modern operations. The proposed replacement would provide a new 24,000-square-foot, 4-bay facility.
Major Renovation
Fire Rescue Station 3 & Fire-Rescue Headquarters — Riverside
Fire Station 3 and Miami Fire-Rescue Headquarters are co-located in an aging Riverside facility that has reached capacity. The proposed renovation would fully rehabilitate the building and modernize major systems.
Repairs & Modernization
Fire Rescue Station 2 — Wynwood / Overtown
Fire Station 2 would receive targeted repairs including parking lot replacement, sanitary piping replacement, restroom renovations, epoxy flooring, painting, and fence replacement.
Fire Rescue Station 5 — Allapattah
Fire Station 5 would receive repairs and upgrades including sanitary and grease trap replacement, epoxy flooring, traffic safety improvements, painting, and window, door, and louver replacement.
Fire Rescue Station 6 — Moore Park
Fire Station 6 would receive restroom renovations, watch office reconfiguration, sanitary and grease trap replacement, and exterior painting.
Fire Rescue Station 7 — Little Havana
Fire Station 7 would receive sanitary and grease trap replacement, electrical upgrades, parking resurfacing, epoxy flooring, and window, door, and louver replacement.
Fire Rescue Station 8 — Coconut Grove
Fire Station 8 would receive interior painting, electrical upgrades, sanitary replacement, and grease trap replacement.
Fire Rescue Station 9 — Little Haiti
Fire Station 9 would receive a climate-controlled EMS room, dorm repairs, electrical upgrades, sanitary and grease trap replacement, and parking resurfacing.
Fire Rescue Station 11 — Flagami
Fire Station 11 would receive interior and exterior painting, terrazzo polishing, and parking resurfacing.
Fire Rescue Station 12 — Liberty City
Fire Station 12 would receive parking lot resurfacing and new electrical panels to better support current operations.
Fire Garage — Riverside
The Fire Garage would receive heavy-duty lift replacement, restroom renovations, storage reconfiguration, and epoxy apparatus bay flooring.
Fire Training Center — Coconut Grove
The Fire Training Center would receive sanitary and grease trap replacement, flooring replacement, restroom renovations, and epoxy apparatus bay flooring.
